- Poliomyelitis caused by wild-type poliovirus
- Human influenza caused by a new subtype
- Severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS)
- other Public Health Emergency of International Concern (PHEIC)
- Dengue
- Malaria
- HIV/AIDS
- Tuberculosis
- Rabies
Other than the priority diseases, information sharing also covers any outbreak declared of national concern, imported cases (when available) and cross notification among ASEAN Plus Three Countries (when available).

H5N1 widespread in Jakarta's poultry

Seventy percent of recent poultry feces samples tested in Jakarta were found to contain H5N1 viruses, according to a Jakarta Post report published today. The finding was reported by the head of the city's Agriculture, Maritime, and Animal Husbandry Agency

Norovirus, poultry leading culprits in US foodborne outbreaks

Taiwan reports new death from A/H1N1 influenza

TAIPEI -- A 56-year-old man in southern Taiwan's Tainan city died of the A/H1N1 influenza virus on Aug. 8, just two days before the World Health Organization said the pandemic was over, local media reported Wednesday.
